Shout it from the rooftops! Capcom VS SNK 2 EO will release for Xbox in March with full online play! Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li and the rest of the killer 2D fighting crew in broadband Internet action! Cash! Back!
Exclamation marks aside, this is fantastic news. Exclusively revealed on these hallowed pages, the new version of what is arguably the finest fighting game from the Capcom pantheon takes the step into a brave new world. Drink it in.
We're too excited. While fans have been gagging for news of whether or not players will be able to use the normal combos as opposed to the EO fashion of performing special attacks with the right analogue stick, we can confirm that you can do either.
It's all too much. Using Xbox Live's voice adaptor you can shout at opponents during fights. You can shout at opponents during fights! "Come on you ******* ****! Hit me!" We're currently rubbing our pants.
EO, standing for "easy operation" in Japan, apparently now means "extreme offence". Obviously, Capcom was using a Web-based translator. The EO system basically dumbs down the game for the uninitiated, making Chun-Li's helicopter kicks an easy proposition.
But for the hardcore, nothing but the original d-pad and button combos will do. It's all there! We've been dreaming of this for years!
More than 40 characters from the Capcom and SNK stables, including those from Street Fighter, Final Fight, Darkstalkers, Fatal Fury, Samurai Showdown and King of Fighters; arcade mode, versus mode, survival mode, training mode and colour edit mode; the C, A, P, S, N and K Groove fighting system for varied styles: God help us all.

DirecTV DSL is just one of several money-losing operations at Hughes. And company executives have said they expect to make other moves on the company's Direcway satellite Internet business and DirecTV Latin America soon.
"When the (EchoStar-Hughes) merger agreement was terminated earlier this week, we promised our shareholders and customers that we would move quickly to strengthen the profitability and efficiency of our company," said Hughes Chief Executive Officer Jack Shaw. "This decision is the first of these moves."
