BF 1942 supports up to 64 players and give them the ability to fully experience World War II combat. Playing as several infantry classes, gamers will also be able to control many weapons available to the Axis and Allies as well as command numerous land vehicles, ships and aircraft. Everyone on the Battlefield team at DICE and EA has been working late nights on another surprise for the community. We’d like to take this time to announce the Battlefield 1942 1.3 patch – it’s coming soon, maybe even sooner than you think! Read more for a sneak peak of the upcoming additions.
  • Implemented TK solution: On the server-side you can implement various TK-solutions such as a Spawn Delay penalty (puts them into spawn limbo) or the simple Kick/Ban. On the client-side you'll be able to Forgive or Punish TK depending on how the server is set up.
  • Client performance optimization
  • Map-loading optimized
    Improved interface for in-game voting
In addition, the 1.3 patch will allow Road to Rome users to play on original BF1942 servers. You will still need to own RtR in order to play on the new maps included in the expansion pack.

The "map loading optimized" sounds good. If they can get it to take less than 2 munutes to load a map, then I'm happy...

map loading takes 17 seconds for me, exactly, my system isn't even top of the line, and i don't have a nocd crack either, so im not sure what everyones always complaining about. The tk fix is a good sign, and a hud change is coo too. Look forward to it.

Hopefully they're looking into the infamous crash-to-desktop problem. Seems to be related to refresh rates...still a great game nonetheless
and give them the ability to fully experience World War II combat
am I the only person who dislikes that. I for one certainly dont want to experience ww2 combat, and strongly doubt bf1942 simulates it. Oh well. Persianpsyho, I think ur a bit lucky then, everyone I know at uni finds map loading takes ages. The TK changes are great news, there are some serious jerks out there.
Hopefully they're looking into the infamous crash-to-desktop problem.
Hmmm, u make it sound like there is one problem with one solution. Is it really that simple..? I ended up essentially building a new system just to play bf1942, and boy was it worth it
