Freeloader will not encourage piracy, however; it merely removes the region protection of the console. At present, it remains impossible to produce pirate versions of GameCube titles due to the unusual format of the discs used by Nintendo.

Never heard of that style, and last time I checked all the animated shorts on The Animatrix were created by mostly Asian directors. Does anyone know btw which director created the Second Renaissance Part 1 & 2 shorts?Whoever it is did an excellent job b/c they are surprisingly scary and realistic to a point.

I don't know his name, but that director also produced the 1999 anime "Blue Submarine No. 6", which was also the first 100% 2D and 3D computer-rendered anime ever made. The next short will be done by the director of Ninja Scroll.

I hope the one created by Masamune Shirow is one of the ones that will be free to download. I do agree that the screenshots that they have available on the website aren't that great, but the texturing is REALLY nice. I also did see the game in motion on the cable TV network TechTV during its TechLive show and...WOW!!! Pfffft...forget that P.O.S. Max Payne...the motion in Enter the Matrix is 10x smoother and not choppy like Max Payne. Some of the graphics don't look that great, but keep in mind people that it hasn't gone gold yet and they have until May to fine-tune the game.

If you look that video, you can see is mostly in the style of Marvel, DC, Black Horse, etc., etc., etc. and not in the japanese style...

Have you ever seen Blue Submarine No.6? The director btw is Mahiro Maeda, a japanese director. Here is the list of directors (IMdB.com): Peter Chung - Matriculated Andy Jones (VI) - The Final Flight of the Osiris Yoshiaki Kawajiri - Program Takeshi Koike - World Record Mahiro Maeda - The Second Renaissance Part 1 & 2 Kouji Morimoto - Beyond Shinichirô Watanabe - Kid's Story I think there might be one missing, but I could be wrong. but like I said, ALL the directors are of Asian descent. The Wachowski Brothers are big fans of Japanese Anime and the Matrix films are greatly influenced by them (especially Akira and Ghost in the Shell.)

Maybe mate... but those directors are influenced then by the clasic comic style... Have you seen "Heavy Metal" from 1981 for example...??? A classic... Look here... P.S.: I see that movie in those years... geez... I'm an old boy...

Japanese animation has been regarded as an art form in itself long before Heavy Metal or Toy Story came a long. Anime usually has lots more drama (sometimes it's melodrama), and a bit darker than, say, GI Joe. Maeda was the director of the "Final Fantasy Unlimited" TV series, and did the mecha design for Escaflowne. Watanabe is pretty famous, he's directed "Macross Plus" and "Cowboy Bebop". Kawajiri directed and wrote the screenplay for "Ninja Scroll", and directed classics such as "X" TV and movie and "Stink Bomb" (Memories: Part II). Koike did the mecha design for DNA2. Morimoto was the asst. animator for "Akira" and directed "Magnetic Rose" (Memories: Part I).

The game looks underwhelming, I was expecting at least better looking than Max Payne.

Doesnt exactly look like a stunner... I was hoping for more. Though still way too early to make an opinion I spose.

For anyone who is a paying IGNsider, they have exclusive videos of the game, as well as a preview of The Final Flight of the Osiris. GOOD GOD does that short look amazing!!! DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLL!!! Keep in mind people that if you see footage of the game..IT ISN'T FINISHED YET!!! I noticed pletny of problems like clipping, distance re-draw problems and shadow problems. But these problems are common when a game is not yet finished. So give it a chance ok?
