Recognizing that color allows people to express their individuality, Microsoft Corp. is listening to gamers who wanted color options for their Xbox (TM) controller. The company is even taking it one step further by putting the choice of colors squarely in the gamers' hands. In an exciting new twist to the Xbox experience, gamers can log onto http://www.xbox.com/ beginning today to help decide the colors of a special line of Xbox controllers.

Xbox is offering gamers a vivid palette of choices, including red, orange, green, blue and clear. The new color controllers will retain the physical characteristics of the highly popular and ergonomic Xbox Controller S.

The votes will be tallied on March 31, and the winning colors will be unveiled at the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3) May 14 in Los Angeles. The new color controllers will appear on retail shelves this October in North America.

October? It really takes that long to add the new dye to plastic? I have an idea, just release every color on that list. That way if you have 4 controllers they can each be different. The people who voted for a losing color aren't left out that way either.

The green and the clear ones best match the current console colors
#12 StOnD on 18 Mar 2003 - 03:11
I have 4 black S controllers and am completely satisfied with them. I don't think I would buy any other color because it doesn't match all my other stuff.

jebus the little thumbnails of the screenies take a super-long time to load compared to their size - i bet they just put the actually screenies on there but resized them on the page... morons.... ANYWAY i like the red the most and then orange, then blue, then green, then clear... that's how i voted. lol doesn't really matter though cuz i don't have an xbox lol

I don't have an Xbox either, lol.. Anyway, my favorite color is blue, but I was very attracted to that red controller.. I voted : 1. red/blue, 2. green, 3. orange, 4. clear.
