Blizzard Axes Cheaters

Blizzard has closed thousands of accounts and CD keys the company said were tied to the use of a hack or cheat program while playing Warcraft III or Diablo II on Battle.net. The gates to Battle.net were slammed shut on over 12 thousand Warcraft III accounts and over 131 thousand Diablo II accounts. The game maker has also banned over seven thousand CD keys from ladder play for one month and banned over one thousand Warcraft III CD keys from ladder play permanently. Blizzard said it continues to monitor the Warcraft III and Diablo II realms for malicious players. Players can report suspected cheaters at hacks@blizzard.com.

yea i bet you would be pissed. but considering within the terms and conditions of using battle.net, they state you can be banned for using cheats, well... then who's fault is it really?

now they need to do this with cs, and "FPS" games! when a cheat is detected ur account is warned then if it does it again bye bye

Why does the title say "Alleged"? If running a bot on an online service nonstop in order to find better game items isn't cheating, I don't know what is!

[/neoquote] You have to figure in the US EVERYONE is innocent til proven guilty, even if you flat out SAW him/her do it. Granted that evidence in court will convict them, but as soon as someone fails to have that benefit granted to them, buh bye justice! As for Blizzard, GOOD! Damn cheaters ruined Diablo 1 for me!!

aprils 1st joke it is. Now its "only" 143000 users on battle.net, if they banned this amount it would have decreased more.

lame blizzard.... too bad they dont improve starcraft cheaters.... there are stack hackers all over bnet on starcraft. its embarressing. Not 1 good game can be played anymore.... I guess they neglected their most popular game of all time.

Good for Blizzard. Play the game for fun, not to cheat your way to the top just to think your number one when your really not. If you loose, who gives a shit. Get better... HAVE FUN! That's what games are for. NOT for CHEATING!
