With all the rumors, cover pics, etc pass along, the only official word on Half-Life 2 has been received by the guys at Shacknews.
Although incredibly brief this is probably deserving of a full news item all by itself since it's the first direct correspondence from Valve Software on the topic. We just got this very brief statement from Valve Software:
Half-Life 2 will be shown at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.
This Half-Life 2 cover has also been posted at Shacknews, and this is what they had to say about the cover.
Well, it's coming and the preview of the cover has shown up over at Gamerz.nl. The artwork pictured here is most likely done by Dhabih from Valve Software (his style) who many of you may remember for some previous magazine covers.
Also, our dutch speaking buddy Maarten here translated the Gamez.nl page and it basically says that the issue of PC Zone pictured above has its publishing timeline delayed by two weeks to hit shelfs on April 28th, which they say is the day that the Half-Life 2 NDA will be lifted and previews will assumedly be showing up in a few places.

not allowed by Windows, for example, * and |.
2. Bugs fixed:
a) "Repair" command could crash, when fixing some types of damaged
archives;
