Thanks Byron

Enter the Matrix seems to have been on the cards for a long time now, when the game was first announced nearly 2 years ago. I had high hopes that it might turn out to be one of the first movie licensees since the C-64 days that actually played well.

One of the big draws for the Enter the Matrix game is the movie footage shot and editor specifically for it, now don’t get me wrong, I think the Matrix was an excellent movie. But here we have what seems like a quick put together that no one who hasn’t seen both films will properly understand, and even those who have may still think that the story zips by too fast.

the game was rushed to get out in time of the movie i think, after all it was supposed to "add to the story. oh well, maybe they remake this game (the washowsi brothers are pretty cool) and wheres the extra-high geometry detail option? Id like to use my new cpu and 3d card pls. If quake3 had such an option it would still look awesome like when it was released. who needs 300 fps anyway, thats just fillrate cheese the CPU is bored while the gpu gets all the (fillrate)work.

Man I think you guys are just pissed at the game. The story of Ghost and Niobe ties in closely to the movie. Actually let me correct that, movies. In case you didn't put it together the game ends well into the third and final movie. What I think all of you guys are pissed about is the afct that you couyldn't play as Neo or Morpheus. The graphics were superb some of the best to date. Now, maybe that's just becuase I picked up the Xbox version and choose not to spend my money on the PC title. Set the Gameplay on Hardest, and you will find a challenge at your fingertips. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they made bending the rules of the Matrix something called Focus and giving it a timer. That was one of the few things I did not like about the game. If someone can't put together the significance of Niobe and Ghost's Stories then there has to be something very wrong. The game was not designed in a short period of time, what goes to prove this is the graphics period. The PC version of the game was developed in a shorter period of time. Yes the game is not that long, but that's because the games premise is to tell the side stories that aren't explained in the movie. The game also clues you in on what's going on in the Matrix and the real world before Reloaded all the way into the beginning of Revolutions. This is done by the last few levels where you are being pursued by Agents, more over Agent Smith(s). This goes to show you empasize the fact that Smith is no longer, in his words, "an Agent of the System." What I think alot of people's let down was the fact that they were expecting to be able to fight along side Neo and Morpheus but in all actuality, that is the way the that all the crews are supposed to operate. Imagine what would happen if 3 crews were working together at the same place. Agents come in and you lose 'em all. We know what happened to 2 of the crews. But it never really explained to you what happened with Niobe and ghost and where they went after doing their part. More over wait till the 3rd movie comes out and there are some parts that some of you will probably be lookig at and scratching your heads saying, now how did that get there, or how did that happen. That was the whole purpose behind this game. You can not play this game and not see the movies. If you have then that's why you think it sux. As for me, I believe this to be an awesome game and I look forward to Revolutioins when it comes out and "Enter the Matrix" when it comes out in 2004. I do hope that maybe this goes accross to some of you and you maybe think about examing this game in a different light. Don't look at it so much as a game but more of an answer to some unanswered questions. Lastly, to fully understand the Trilogy and it's meaning we still need Revolutions but you need to ave seen The Matrix, The Matrix Reloaded, The Animatrix series and, played the game. Once you have done this your understanding of the meanings of the game and movies will be clear.

despite the what others seem to be saying, I really am enjoying this, it's a lot of fun if not as good as it could have been.

I've had teh game for the Xbox since it was released, it it one of the best movie tie-ins I've played. There are some flaws, camera angles et.al, but overall a great piece of gameplay. I found not playing at Morpheous, Neo or Trinity gave the game a better challenge. I've already completed it as Ghost and have just started again as Niobe, this one is definately gonna be replayed again & again & again................

Spider_Man -> that's an EXCELLENT post. at least you argument on why you like or dislike it, and I care to agree with you. People tend to get pissed of when they don't get what they'd expected, but that doesn't make it any less of a game. can't wait to see Revolutions....
