A major update to Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos will add clan support and many interface features created for The Frozen Throne expansion pack.
Blizzard has announced that many of the interface and Battle.net enhancements created for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne will soon be available to players of the original game. The 1.10 update will make several enhancements to the Warcraft III interface, adding a minimap view that shows creep locations, the ability to queue buildings, and the ability to put both units and upgrades in the same queue. The update also adds clan support and a range of other Battle.net features, such as a new "referee" observer type and new filtering options.

Rick Finkelstein, president and chief operating officer of Universal Pictures, said he did not expect this episode to significantly alter the studio's marketing procedures. "We are constantly evaluating our internal security measures, and we are always seeing areas where we can improve our security," he said. "This will have a significance, but we don't want to blow it out of proportion."

I think that he believes they are going to release a patch for WC3:Frozen Throne (the expansion pack) which comes out on the 1st. Rather, they are releasing a patch for WC3:Reign of Chaos (the original), which has been out for over a year.
as for D2... ya... they promised on the patch a long time ago... but u should be happy that they still care about a 3 year old game though... not to mention that the patch adds quite a LOT of stuff, which is worth the wait though
I agree - Geez, it's not like we are continually paying Blizzard to update a 3 year old game.
They probably do hate the immature and selfish way the players play it: cheating/hacking in order to get better. The official SC ladder is ruined by WinBot hacks.
