In Medal of Honor Allied Assault from Electronic Arts, players will assume the role of Lt. Mike Powell, member of the famed 1st Ranger Battalion who gets recruited by the OSS and battles through over 20 levels that are based on historical military campaigns of World War II.

Set during the most trying years of the war, 1942-1945, Medal of Honor Allied Assault gives players a sense of the courage it took to survive the landings at Normandy, the assault at Arzew, a rendezvous with the Resistance outside the village of St. Lo, and the push through the heavily defended border of Germany itself to take the bridge at Remagen.

Staying true to all the gameplay features that made Medal of Honor one of the most acclaimed and best-selling games launched in 1999, Medal of Honor Allied Assault will build on the success of that game and add new player weapons, new interactive Allied vehicles such as Sherman tanks and M3 Half Tracks, smarter enemy AI, and the ability to call for artillery strikes.

2.21.54 Version - 06/09/2003
  • Full compatibility with the new MSN Messenger 6.1.
  • Full compatibility with MSN Messenger 5.0.575 (Windows 95 release).
  • Some translations have been improved.
  • New translation added: Hungarian.
  • When the /all command is used, tags are now interpreted differently for each chat.
  • The Initialize() function of C/C++ plugins isn't called in a different thread anymore (it make things easier if you want your plugin to display a window.
  • The title of chat windows is now always updated correctly to remove multi-format tags from contact names.
  • Some people are experiencing problems with their encryption password (Messenger Plus! refuses a valid password). The reason of this problem has yet to be found, however, if you get the bug with this new version, you'll have a workaround: go in the Preferences, click the "Change" button and reenter your password (same one or a different, your choice). This will reset Messenger Plus! internal settings so that you can continue to use your password as if nothing happened.
  • The "Old Password" field has been removed. Instead, the "Change" button is disabled when you're not signed in.

graphics are starting to look very dated.... but the MOH magic is still there

What is the butt-slide? I recently purchased MoH and I saw it in one of the patch notes as the "butt scoot".
Is it an exploit or just a bug?
#10.2 Dark Warhawk on 11 Sep 2003 - 03:18
well its both really, most players have no clue they are doing it however, i see some slide all across the map so i'm sure they abused it in someway. what ticks me off is when it close range near the head (i always try and hit the hit, but i miss half the time and hit them in the neck area) and they slide under my seconed shot, and slide right into me. i mean that is such BS. whats funny is this so called bug was supposed to be an feature in spearhead

Breakthrough is much more of the same feeling to me with new maps.

Call of Duty is where it's at now after playing the demo. It is highly modable and has much more replay value. Heck it's from some of the developers that worked on MOH and it's better to boot.

I gotta say that having a PC is so cool that developers are not stuck making an entirely new game ever single time, but with the looks of things this game will sell to the dire hard MOH fans, me being one of them and all I may be bias but then again it is still aparent to me that Call of Duty is Gonna Blow MOH out of the Water. The real reason is THe full Squad based premise of the game. You no longer feel the solid snake one man war mission, You now have a full compliment of AI soliders that add to the game and make it a trully inovative design. and I gotta say that the AI is not bad at all ,from the demo they seemed to stay outta your way and never blocked a door way and got you killed. I will consider buying the EP but The New MOH I am not so sure of especially when CAll OF DUTY WILL BE OUT!!!!!!
