- YES! We can get to slaughter the Japs that fscked us up long ago! (Even if the US did fsck them up with that awesome Atom bomb.)

*NOTE: I'm not racist. I do like Anime, drive an Evo III, and have a cousin who's Nihongo.
And I can play as General MacArthur! Woo! I SHALL RETURN! -

- Agree with teka. One of the worst Terrorist attack in history of earth.
You might not know that US dried up and choked Japan's economy which led to their reaction on Pearl Harbour. The quest for global power was initiated by US, not Japan.
If you dont know history, then dont talk about it. -

- #1.2:
Then I guess you would know that we cut off there oil supply because they occupied vietnam (French Indochina) and became a member of the AXIS powers.
As for the atom bomb... I probably would've made the same choice... it was "them" or "them and us".

The Philippine Islands had the misfortune in World War II of being the closest large island chain to Japan and in the middle of major shipping lanes to the resource-rich East Indies, making them of critical strategic importance to both sides. The Japanese forces captured the Philippines in 1942 from the United States. In 1945, the US Marines returned with a massive arsenal and a directive to take back the islands, come hell or high water.
In this new conquest map for Battlefield 1942, naval warfare and infantry inland invasions take center stage in a raging firefight for six islands in the Philippines. Each side—the US and Japan—have large central islands fortified with Defguns to protect against naval assault....
The Invasion of the Philippines map introduces two new vehicles: the American PT boat on the US side and the Type 38 coastal craft on the Japanese side
