DICE and EA to incorporate Punkbuster anti-cheating software into war game's next patch.
DICE and Electronic Arts announced today that they will include Punkbuster anti-cheating software in the forthcoming 1.6 Battlefield 1942 patch. "Our goal is to have measures in place which address both current and future cheats," said a statement on the official Battlefield 1942 site. "As such, after researching existing anti-cheat programs, we've determined that Punkbuster suits our purposes perfectly." According to the statement, the inclusion was in response to pressure from the BF 1942 community. Developed and published by Even Balance, Punkbuster software foils online game cheats through a variety of ways, including scanning players' computers for hacks and settings that otherwise exploit game engines. It is currently available for America's Army, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Quake III Arena, and Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, among others.

UT2003 isnt packaged with a cheat package yet
however epic has released a package called UTSecure which should be installed on servers as a mutator to find cheats ect.
AntiTCC has also been released which used to be based on UTSecure but now on its own base...more powerful that UTSecure and is used on afew servers
So the game is still fun
Note: I am not one of those people. My computer can barely run Starcraft let alone Battlefield 1942.
