Strategy First has today announced that it will release the first expansion pack for Galactic Civilizations during the second quarter of this year. Galactic Civilizations: Altarian Prophecy will add a number of new features to the original strategy game, including two new alien civilizations, an all-new campaign, 10 scenarios, 10 custom maps, and four new ships. Players will also be able to create their own content using new map, campaign, and scenario editors.

"Galactic Civilizations was widely respected in the industry as a sharp, in-depth, turn-based strategy game that refreshed the genre and gave PC gamers something to get excited about," said Don McFatridge, president of Strategy First. "It was only natural for us to bring more of the Galactic Civilizations adventure to the fans as soon as we could."

Released in March of last year, Galactic Civilizations is a space-themed strategy game set in the 23rd century at a time when the human race is one of six warring factions vying for control of the galaxy.

You want to know something REALLY lame? I'm a news mod here and I forgot to post this news here even though I'm the Designer and Lead developer of this game at Stardock! LOL.
