- I have an Athlon XP 2400+ and a Radeon 9600 XT, and Far Cry for PC at 1024x768 is barely acceptable. I don't forsee the awesome power of the Xbox ekeing out anything worth playing. What a sad thing, to see a game of such high visual quality downgraded to be played on a console.

- I run a 2500@2.13ghz and a 9600XT and Farcry runs at a constant 25-50 fps. I don't see why you aren't getting similar performance other than the overclock.

- consoles have dedicated hardware, it will run very good on xbox or ps2.
Runs good on my pc: P4 1.6a / 768 mb pc 2700 / ati radeon 9500 pro @ 1024x768 high settings / no aa or af
I use Fraps to get my fps, usually above 40...
Love this game...

- FPS games are actually good with a gamepad, the controls are all easy to reach, u just need to broaden ur horizon!
anyway, GC is better than PS2 hardware wise so it's more likely to be on GC than PS2 i'd say. And Xbox has the highest chance since it's the fastest console.
And for all u PC freaks out there who say it cant un on a console, consoles dont have to run an OS to function, that means there's more resources available

Ubisoft has today announced that its Montreal Studio is working on console versions of the recently released Far Cry. The console versions of the game, entitled Far Cry Instincts, will be based on the original PC title but will boast a number of additional features and enhancements.
"Looking at Far Cry's incredible success in Europe, which is currently the number one-selling PC game in all territories' charts, we are confident that Far Cry Instincts will be one of Ubisoft's most striking games this year," said Florence Alibert, Ubisoft's marketing director for EMEA territories. "The Montreal-based development team, which is gathering most of the talented members behind the original Splinter Cell, plans to further reinforce Far Cry Instincts' position as one of Ubisoft's key brands for the future."
