It's the DS's instant messaging tool that you can send pictures with too. Hangman, anyone? Nintendo have released new shots of PictoChat, their instant messaging application for DS. Up to 16 "players" can make use of the DS's wireless capabilities to link together to exchange messages and drawings.
While the DS's bottom screen shows a standard keyboard, messages from other users appear on the top screen. Players can type text messages using the keyboard, use the stylus to send messages in their own handwriting or simply draw and transmit pictures. Handily, it's possible to modify pictures that you've received and send them back - which, if you're after a game of virtual hangman or noughts and crosses, is just the job.
