Far Cry: Instincts isn't a straight port of the original PC version of first-person shooter Far Cry - there's plenty of new bells and whistles added to the Xbox incarnation. Not least are the additional powers of the main character, which mark the focus of this debut trailer.

Hello All,

We are currently looking to recruit trialists, for a trial of a new Internet Browser Toolbar. The trial is scheduled to begin around the end of June and will run until everyone has completed their script.

There are however a couple of requirements you need to be aware of:

*We only require trialists who have Windows 2000 or XP (if you have
anything different please advise)

*We are only looking for 100 trialists mixed across all tiers, so
recruitment will be done on first come basis.

Yeah, plus it's gonna be running on a TV and you'll be siting away from it (can't remember the average distance you sit from a TV) not on top of it...this is why I rarely trust screenshots from console games, prefer to see them running on the console and make my decision then

it looks like doom3 does on the xbox. they turn the textures into absolute crap for that system

Do you guys realize that TV's are only around 640x480? It doesn't matter how detailled the textures are, it'll still look like crap on a TV.

guys remember how farcry runs on pc with similar specs as xbox? it's crap, so don't expect so see the same level of details on xbox compared to on pc.

Your right, it won't look better then the PC version, BUT comparing Far Cry running on Xbox to a PC with similar specs is a bit of a stretch, the Xbox has much less overhead then a PC with similar specs plus the drivers and everything are hard coded into the OS meaning it will actually run faster, plus the OS is striped down to bare bones (i.e. it's only got what it needs to run properly) I believe, plus the Xbox was built to play games...so it's fair to say the Xbox version won't look as good, but don't compare it to a PC with the same specs, cause I bet you can't run a Xbox game on a PC with the same specs as the Xbox and have it look just as good as it does on the Xbox (or can you?)..that's my 2 cents

Actually its 640 x 480 thats why when video games say 480i or 480p it is referring to the approximate resolution of tv at 640x480.

k u cant compare textures of pc an a console because ur pc texture soley depends on how much memory u have where as the xbox its limited. id say doom3 an this game for xbox is a huge feat an lookin at the screens both are gonna be great games. not to be a microsoft fanboy or anythin but u cant run either of these games on ANY other system.

Although I thought the game wasn't anywhere near as good as the reviews said, the Xbox graphics look fine to me.

sh!t.. even at the resolution it is now for the console it still looks better than most console games. i'm almost done with the PC version, long as hell. great game though, worth buying.

The graphics capability of a console will always be below that of a mid to high end pc. Xbox cannot update drivers etc, and whatever chip is onboard is less powerfull than most pc's.

Also the new features may well be imported to the pc version via a patch, so i wouldnt worry too much.

i agree people seem to think the console game is going to be the same graphically, just not possible get over it, lots of people cant buy a expensive computer just to play games, also i think the graphics look fine u dont need to have great graphics all the time in games to make them good
