- Great idea. Now cheater's have something else to worry about rather than just getting a 1 year ban.

- How will this affect SP cheating??? I hope that will still be around because with 2 kids I don't have a whole lot of time to finish games when I'm stuck.

- SP cheating isn't about completing a game easier. IMO it's about having fun once the game has been completed fairly. Also, if they've inserted cheats what a big load of bollocks that is.
Then again, trainers do the job sometimes...

- I don't care either way they go with this.
One thing's for sure, multiplayer cheats/cheaters are ghey. -

- also agreed. as long as they keep it to MP, which i hope they have the common sense to do, then this is fine by me...
if they are also including SP cheats, well that is just stupid... who cares what a person does in a single player game once they have purchased it?

- They are only going for the creators not the cheaters themselves.....
Chances are that the creators will just move to irc to distribute thier cheats....

- arent some cheats built into the game on most games? or are they going against people who make hacked cheats?

- Now Valve is disrupting cheaters' ability to play and enjoy a product they paid for. Isn't that wrong too, then?

- Stupid idea. Cheats for games have been around for awhile. I think that if Valve Software tries to sue web sites which have cheats/ cheat creators, that they might be the laughing stock of the Internet since cheats have been around for so many years. Now, if they are talking about people who cheat online, just ban the online cheaters instead of taking legal action.

- I always complete every SP game before I even look at any cheats. Whats the point of blowing 30 or 40 quid on a game when you're going to spoil it for yourself with God mode and all weapons or whatever. And once cheated through the game, you have lost that once in a life time experience of playing the entire game through for the first time as it should be played.
As for the legal action against cheating in MP yes that is a great idea. It's not just because it's unfair on the others who are trying to have a normal game with their friends, but these people have spent money on this game and possibly spent money on a server subscription. And that just makes it too damn rude of them cheating spotty 12-year-olds!

It's cheating online that is the problem.

We've started taking legal action against cheating (cheat-sites, cheat creators,...) both in the US and abroad. This is in addition to the on-going investments in anti-cheating technology. You'll see reports of this percolating up as various actions happens.
