Going where no previous James BondTM game has dared to tread, the upcoming GoldenEye: Rogue AgentTM first-person shooter from Electronic Arts breaks all the rules by transporting players to the dark side of the Bond universe to experience life as a high-rolling, cold-hearted villain. The highly anticipated game is scheduled to ship later this year on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, and the Nintendo GameCubeTM under the EA GAMESTM brand.

As an aspiring 00 agent dismissed from MI6 for reckless brutality, the player is hired as an enforcer by Auric Goldfinger, the wealthy super-villain with a lust for all things gold. Goldfinger is locked in a ruthless war against his archenemy, the brilliant scientist Dr. No. The prize is control of the world's greatest criminal organization. A brutal encounter with Dr. No costs the player an eye, but Goldfinger's technicians replace it with a gold-hued, synthetic eye, earning the player the name 'GoldenEye'. Players have the ability to customize and upgrade their villain persona and wreak havoc as they make their unrelenting rise through the ranks.

Am I the only one that thinks this looks very crusty and old? Perhaps I'm just too used to PC graphics.

If those are shots from a PS2, they're not going to look that great.

They're not too bad. I mean, they definitely aren't the best consoles have ever seen... but this is a Ps2. Those shots are actually pretty good for a Ps2 game.

Every James Bond game that came out after Goldeneye sucked =/ <- MY OPINION

Goldeneye owned. This one will probably be really tight as long as it has all the villians and heroes from the N64 one. Maps should be pretty cool. Been over 5 years since goldeneye came out if not longer so the maps and plots should be pretty well laid out.

this game doesnt have a very good outlook. so you're on the villians side, what challenges are you going to face? fighting James Bond?

i remember when the first trailer came out, i actually thought that it was comprised of gameplay movies. i must admit seeing these new pictures leaves me a little disappointed.

The thing is, EA has taken over this game, and for me I didn't really like the EA Bond games. I wasn't really impressed with the video preview either.. I just hope that they live up to the name. A lot of people are gonna have high expectations for this. Goldeneye set some standards.

The thing they're missing here is that Goldeneye not only had amazing gameplay but it stuck to the film story line like glue ! One of the greatest film to game conversions I've ever played, in fact Goldeneye is still one of the best games I've ever played.
