The specially packaged two-DVD set will be available across the UK on November 11.

The limited collector's edition of Halo 2 that Microsoft announced for North America (when it revealed the game's release date earlier this year) will also be available across the pond in the UK, the company revealed today. The limited edition package can be picked up in stores on November 11 and will cost an estimated 44.99 pounds ($82.50).

The limited edition's metal box will hold a second DVD as well as the actual game. The feature-laden disc contains a variety of featurettes on game design, animation, and music, in addition to commentaries from the development team, an art gallery, and the documentary "The Making of Halo 2: Behind the Scenes of Bungie Studios."

Updates

According to the article at MSNBC, the new iPod will also contain the following features:

  • Longer battery life (50%) through more efficient method of power conservation.
  • Increased averaged play time, now at 12 hours.
  • Multiple On-The-Go playlist support
  • Ability to delete songs off the playlist
  • Users will now be given a choice to play their tunes at 25% slower or faster.
  • Lower price: $399 for 40GB, and $299 for 20GB. The 15 GB model has been discontinued.

Personally, I am hoping that some of these new features will be made available to existing users through firmware updates. I guess we will just have wait and see...

thats why a large amount of people in the uk have fairly small game collections.

i know a lot of people who pirate games because they simply can't afford that amount per game, especially when there's a bombardment of releases.

Yes but I usually buy my games from play.com which are usually £25-£30 which is $45-$55. That's a pretty damn good deal since we pay 17.5% VAT (sales ta and US-ers pay around 5-8%.

PC games are very well priced in the UK, unlike console games. Who remembers the days of £60 N64 games .

Hmmm. A limited edition you can get anywhere.

    Good ol' MS.

"No, honestly, it is limited, not many people will be able to get this, and that makes it so popular we are having to do extra pressings".
