The official Japanese site for Final Fantasy XII has been updated, releasing the four-minute trailer shown at this year's E3. The site also has wallpapers for the newly announced characters, Penelo and Vasch.

Featuring a totally revamped combat system, the venerable series has finally become a full-fledged 3D RPG, with no more random battle encounters. Listing a Winter 2004 to Spring 2005 timeline for its release in Japan on the website, a delay to 2005 seems to be a realistic possibility--either way, U.S. fans will need to wait a little while longer for the highly anticipated game to hit our shores.

Updates

According to the article at MSNBC, the new iPod will also contain the following features:

  • Longer battery life (50%) through more efficient method of power conservation.
  • Increased averaged play time, now at 12 hours.
  • Multiple On-The-Go playlist support
  • Ability to delete songs off the playlist
  • Users will now be given a choice to play their tunes at 25% slower or faster.
  • Lower price: $399 for 40GB, and $299 for 20GB. The 15 GB model has been discontinued.

Personally, I am hoping that some of these new features will be made available to existing users through firmware updates. I guess we will just have wait and see...
