GTA: San Andreas - first footage!

The gangsta's paradise of Rockstar's upcoming crime epic can now be seen in full motion.

After months of teasing gamers with a trickle of screenshots and plot and gameplay details, Rockstar Games has finally released the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Although it runs at just over a minute in length, the preview offers a glimpse of Los Santos, one of three cities in the game. Unspooling to the funky bassline of "Jungle Fever" by the Chakachas, the trailer shows off various parts of the Los Angeles-inspired metropolis, beginning in a Compton-esque area of run-down houses that are covered with graffiti, which players will actually be able to "apply" themselves in the game. From there, the action moves to a beach party at sunset, where a sweeping overhead crane shot of a dual-engine propeller plane is featured as it flies over Los Santos.

They always say its a PS2 exclusive release at first, they did it with Vice City and GTA3. It just buys them time because for the PC version they retexture the whole game so PC users have better graphics

ign said somewhere that it will come out for xbox and pc in 2005, probably around summer like June or something. that last part was just guess not ign's.

ps2 has it exclusive for the period that matters, the holidays, after everybody who was going to get a ps2 for it would have already got it.

It says "first footage", to what I recall there was screenshots a while ago, why is this being posted as first footage? It isn't, there has footage out for a while now. However the movie came out a day b4 this was posted making this day old news. Understand? If not go back to school.

why the hell would u mod ur ps2 for that its not like the creators knew what u had in ur system an designed a game for it. thats why u buy consoles because the games are specially designed for whats in the system. id say u have too much money disease an can be remedied buy givin it to ur local orphanage.

Why do people say just wait a year and you can get it on the x box pc etc, i think a year is quite a long time, also the x box 2 will be reaching its launch, if you don't have a ps2 their only £99 now in the UK

Rockstar are just milking whores. They need to understand that the game needs updating HEAVILY. Quit being Sony suckers and build the game with a brand new engine on a higher-rated system, then maybe we'll see what they can really do with the franchise instead of just milking the same old hat engine. It's getting worse than Tony Hawk.

i didnt mind the look of GTA3 and VC and i dont really care if the engine is outdated. new engine or not itll still be a great game. the fact that the engine isnt much more updated is good news for the people who dont have the newest computers.
