•Pokémon LeafGreen (Nintendo, GBA)

Wedbush Morgan predicts that during 2004, 218 million pieces of software will be sold in total, skewed such that an astonishing 114 million of them will be moved during the final three months of the year. In addition, the report closes with in-depth looks at six of the major third-party publishers and recommendations for investors (giving a "Buy" rating to Take-Two, Activision, Atari, and Electronic Arts and a "Hold" rating to Midway and THQ).
While today's report focused on the console and handheld sectors, the document briefly alluded to three PC games thought capable of driving sales of a million or more before the end of the calendar year. Those would be Doom 3 (Activision), the upcoming The Sims 2.0 (Electronic Arts), and "November’s" release of Half-Life 2 (VU Games). "We expect the total unit sales for the 11 console/handheld million unit SKUs plus the three PC million unit SKUs to exceed 30 million units in calendar 2004," said Wedbush analysts Michael Pachter and Edward Woo in today's report.
Dice says: I feel this analyst is correct, do you?

i hope ign posts their head to head of the xbox and pc version real soon, cause i'm still up in the air over which one to get.
I am really hoping this game pans out, I really am.
With this and the COD expansion pack, Half Life 2 is really looking less and less relevant in my gaming world at least.
and games always look better on pc anyway cos of the better hardware u can get.
but i spose it wud still be a good game on all platforms... just better on pc
i was thinking mod potential, and really what i was truly thinking was playing online itself. i am going to go out on a limb and say the pc version will support more players without knowing anything about it, and i just feel that gameplay overall will be better on a pc...
we will have to wait and see just like you said though, now i am curious to see the differences myself
I'm also awaiting a PC/Xbox comparison; hopefully the PC version has much more detailed textures, to take advantage of newer graphics cards.
also while the pc version supports more human players 32 versus the xbox/ps2 16, they all have additional computer controlled players in the game for each team, that i figure would make it liek 12v12 instead of 8v8.
i think 16-20 people is just right for deathmatch games, cause it's enough people to have a furious match, but not too many where you are just getting shot everytime you get in the game ala battlefield 1942. at least with 8 peps on my team, i can feel like i'm actually doing something and make a difference, instead of trying to fight against 32 players and getting sniped as soon as a spawn.
I've been waiting for this forever! X Box all the way!
Given that Pandemic Studios are behind this game, too, I'd bet it'll be very good
