- I was already a "stress" tester through File Planet, but I applied to be a Beta tester through Blizzard months back. Well it turns out I got my email from Blizzard today saying I can join the Stress test until Sunday, complete with a new key for joining.
I just thinks its a shame I have an extra key now that will go to waste, so the First person to reply here saying they want the key, I will PM it to you. PM me about it, and you will not get it.
Reply here, saying you want the key and understand it is only until Sunday, and I will PM you the email i received this morning.

- would rather shoot myself in the foot before i play this lagged game. its either the closed beta or wait for retail for me, none of this chock full of n00bs lets-help-Blizzard kind of deal.

- dude everybody is a noob at the game right now give me a break. some people maybe better able to understand the game quicker than others, but it's nothing like people have 3 years of experience playing with people who just started.
blizzard claims that retail release won't be lagged like this because it will be fewer people and more servers. also the lag was expected, that's the whole point of the stress test. it wasn't really designed for you to try to play the game through, enjoy it and have a perfect experience. it was designed to help blizzard better make the game for retail release.

- Honestly...speaking for myself only...i have not experience much lag...and it's such an easy game to get the hang of...This is such a good opportunity to "try out the program before you buy it".

- I'm in the stress test and never get lag except when they held the actual 'log on at THIS time to really stress the servers', and evne then it was very playable.
WoW owns, can't wait to rock this thing once it gets retail.

"Invitation emails have started going out to the new testers already. The stress test beta contest will continue on until the end of the stress test beta, at which time all stress test accounts will expire," the developer writes on the official WoW website.
However we'd suggest anybody hoping for a last-minute addition not try the developer's patience too much: "Please do not contact Blizzard to inquire about being added to the stress test beta," the website states in bold print. "All the information needed, such as how to access the stress test beta, will be provided in the email going out to new testers."
woops :D
