responDesign has announced the first fitness game to be released on the Xbox called Yourself!Fitness. Available in stores now, the "game" comes with fitness analysis, personalized goal settings, customized meal planner, fitness calendar, and over 200 health and fitness tips from prevention Magazine.

"Yourself!Fitness represents a new and innovative direction in the home fitness market. It delivers features that are unmatched by anything else in the home fitness industry," said Stephanie Montgomery, Director of Reebok University. "I believe Yourself!Fitness gives women a reason to care about the Xbox(R) and opens the door to video games in general."

At present the new venture is being called "Exclaim," but this is apparently only a temporary name and is likely to be replaced before the firm starts trading. Cousens is joined in the new venture by Europlay Capital Advisers, the Los Angeles based firm which is headed by industry veterans Sean Brennan and Mark Dyne and has advised on a number of major industry deals in recent years.

It's expected that along with the Cheltenham and Manchester studios - accounting for some 160 employees - "Exclaim" will also take possession of several of Acclaim's products in development, including Interview with a Made Man and Heist.

wasn't ddr the 1st xbox fitness game?
#6.1 Wickedkitten on 07 Oct 2004 - 20:39
DDR will make you lose weight, but it's not really much of a fitness game because you don't get any toning done. This actually tracks your fitness goals and stuff and gives you mealplans.

<sarcasm>Supersize me, yeah, that's a great piece of information!</sarcasm> How about educating yourself through reading and even trying the advice given to you. I hear that does wonders for many. Sitting on your ass and watching a movie won't help too much.

I don't think I'm ever gonna buy it (because I don't need it, seariously ). But it if I were the game creator, and the "game" turned out to help people, who cares what other people say? Anything that can make you do something healthy is worth buying.
