Free Press has a story that supposedly has a release date for World of Warcraft. Remember this is not confirmed as of yet: "World of Warcraft," the online world game from the makers of the incredibly popular "Warcraft" strategy game series, is scheduled to launch the week of Nov. 22, the Free Press has learned.

Most stores have predicted Nov. 15 would be the launch date for "World of Warcraft," guessing that Sony Online Entertainment's behemoth "Everquest 2" would come out on or near the same day. But Phil O'Neil, president, North America, of "Warcraft" publisher Vivendi Universal Games, said the game will actually launch a week after the company's other hot holiday title, "Half-Life 2," which debuts Nov. 16.

VU is pushing them to release it unfinished. The servers aren't stable, the classes aren't complete let alone balanced, and several quests are bugged. There's several other problems that I can't recall. Pretty much any beta tester will tell you it's not going to get completed (content wise) before they release it.

Side note: the noob areas are going to be PACKED at release so be sure to team up or you'll be stuck there for weeks.

If it's not official, there is still hope.

This rumor has been shot down by Blizzard, gamers post will follow I'm sure. For now see this thread on the WOW forums.

Anybody else get the feeling that Vivendi pushing Blizzard to release in November is going over like a father telling his little boy to eat his vegetables?

Blizzard: "BUT I DON'T WANNA!!"

Vivendi: "YOU WILL IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU (and my wallet)"

I'm sure the thousands testing it right now would disagree with you.

I highly doubt they release it in November. THey'll be lucky to release it this year.

They pulled the open beta server stress test. They aren't saying anything and everyone is complaining on the blizzard boards.

Pulled what? The open beta is still coming soon.
