Ubisoft's squad-based shooter deploys to factory; battle begins November 30.

Ubisoft today announced that the PlayStation 2 version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 has achieved gold status and begun production. The realistic military shooter is the third Ghost Recon title for the PS2, and it will hit store shelves November 30.

The PlayStation 2 version has a completely different plotline from its Xbox counterpart, which is due November 16. Set in 2007, the shooter begins with the fabled supersecret commandos known as the "Ghosts" descending on North Korean targets. The game challenges gamers to quell a nuclear threat in a series of events that tie into the Xbox version. Sam Fisher, hero of the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series, makes a cameo appearance in the game.

ubi usually neglects the PS2 versions. their also using the unreal engine for it... which i think isnt a great idea myself from a coders perspective. but well those are really red storms decissions i guess.

since ubi took over red storm, many of the same ideas have been shared, and no game that ubi has put out has been worth it. i mean lack of updates unless its still popular, and even then its still minimal.

they showed their real colors when they released ravenshield, and continue to not support it.

i hate that ubi published farcry.. crytech deserved so much more. never liked splinter cell myself, but it needs lots of patching, tho its not so bad in the consumer prospective, and is popular.

Gr2 for xbox looks like a childs game... and if they make it simular to that without making changes for the PC, its going to down right suck for us PC gamers. i dont want a dumbed down game just because u had to release on xbox. ubi needs to relook at the world, and say hey, we should just make xbox games, cause we dont like to support games on the PC... we just like to rush them out... and say we will support them, but to a small degree.

yawn, so pissed off with what they do.
