Electronic Arts has issued the promised patches for The Sims 2, bringing both the CD-ROM and DVD editions of the 3D virtual life simulation by Maxis to version 1.0.0.971. This release addresses a wide variety of gameplay issues along with a couple of system/config problems.

- Improved performance with Radeon X800 cards. Users continuing to experiencing problems should update to the 4.10 driver.
