Electronic Arts has revealed that it's working on a new game in the Command & Conquer: Red Alert series in an email sent to fan site operators by VP and executive producer Mark Skaggs. With the release of The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth nearly upon us, Skaggs said the company wanted to start turning attention toward its next project, and that in an unusual twist - perhaps unprecedented for Electronic Arts - he was breaking the news to fans of the game ahead of the gaming press.
"We are very proud to announce that the team that brought you Command & Conquer Red Alert 2, Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge, and Command & Conquer Generals has officially started work on our next project set in the Red Alert universe," he wrote. Referring to the Sage graphics engine used for Generals, he added: "Expect us to leverage and continue to evolve this powerful engine as we start work on our new Command & Conquer game."

B]Features:[/B]
· The best PC performance: Choose between a silent running mode or the best graphics performance settings and the wizard automatically adjusts all performance metrics (clocks, voltages, fan speeds, bus speeds, etc.) to get the best options for the hardware in the system.
· Improved dynamic overclocking: Provides on-the-fly overclocking and BIOS configuration within an easy-to-use Windows interface that is streamlined and simplified for better user understanding.
· Benchmarking wizard: See how your PC configuration stacks up against synthetic benchmarks before and after adjusting system parameters.
· Saved system profiles: Save, import, and export custom overclocking or BIOS profiles. Assign profiles to favorite programs for automatic application. A safety "watchdog" checks temperature and steps system down if failure could occur.
· GPU overclocking: Overclocking of GeForce FX and GeForce 6 Series GPUs is supported in concert with system overclocking, temperature monitoring, and system profiles.
· System troubleshooting: An automated reporting tool captures all needed information to help you determine when problems may be happening to the system, and helps you troubleshoot.
· Improved system monitoring: Temperatures, voltages, and bus speeds are now available as an “always-on-top” window with a transparency option so that it is visible at all times.
· Voltage and bus speed monitoring: Track actual motherboard voltages, GPU clocks, bus speeds, and CPU core speed to ensure safe and correct settings.
· Temperature and fan speed monitoring: Real-time monitoring of CPU, GPU and system temperatures helps prevent hardware damage. nTune supports dual-CPU and SLI multi-GPU systems.
· Dynamically adjustable voltages and fan speeds: Adjust motherboard voltage levels without a reboot, as well as dynamically control fan speeds.
· Dynamically adjustable memory timings: Change critical memory timings without rebooting and without entering the BIOS.

They have no idea what to do over there with this franchise...
i quite like the generals engine, i just want some story back & yeah bring back tanya, she was cool lol - shes probly ageing a bit now tho...those RA games must b getting on. not too sure about new actors taking the old characters.
Me want more cool videos between missions like RA1
Too true. I loved the original C&C (and I found the video acting to be good) and thought Red Alert was good, though the units were bland and not as creative. Actually, Dune 2 was really good as well. RA2 was quite pretty graphically, but pretty dull and unoriginal.
Hopefully they can start adding backing all the gameplay they've taken out since the original game - each game since seems to have slightly improved graphically, but gone backwards with gameplay.
I guess theres too much piracy on PC so they have to cut corners. I have 5 friends with PC and only one of them bought Half Life 2.
I loved Red Alert when I was a younger lad, playing online was hella laggy too
Got any links on that?
Generals = sucked.
Red Alert 3 = please be gooooood.
As much as I don't like the idea of a star wars based game, I'll be keeping my eye on petroglyph (which is made up of most of the old Westwood employees) instead of EA.
*adds to boomkarks*
/me still has his
so many crap titles from them its unreal
they are lowering the standards for the entire industry
ea is just one big crapfactory. they pump out crap they know the average consumer will buy and they rake in the dough. who cares if the game is buggy? not their problem. those lazy developers that they make worth 16 hour days for a lousy wage should have done something about it. i've also noticed them invading tv shows quite a bit lately. there was a report on australian 60 minutes a while ago about the EVILS of video games (yeah, right). anyway, they talked for like 20 seconds about stuff like halo, then took a trip to ea's hq and showed how great*cough* they were for the next 15 minutes. i should stop ranting, but i just hate ea.
what game will they take and screw up next? thinking about it scares me.
Also Generals is more reallistic, in the Irak's wars, you can see almost the same units in the game and in the reallity.
And in Generals you don't spend all time in take resources or upgrading units, and even low-profile units can be useable in any parts of the game. In the old c&c, low-profile units are useless when the wars is managed only by powerfull units.
Anyways, many disagreed with generals because its 100% 3d. In this case the game don't suck but your 3d card!
also, yeah, EA probably will make the next RA crap. hopefully not,
They did, it was called Dune 2000 and had horrendous music and video acting, and bad gameplay. I still play the original Dune 2, its just eh better I think.
I may be alone in this, but I would welcome RA3 on an improved Sage engine!
Looking forward to RA3
One of the Biggest fan of red Alert.
