Gothic III officially announced

Gothic fans rejoice! JoWooD Productions has announced that German developer Piranha Bytes will make a third game in the much loved Gothic series of RPG's. While not much is known about the third game obviously, Piranha Bytes has stated "Our main efforts are to increase quality, atmosphere and fascination in Gothic III, to deliver an unbeatable RPG experience to all the Gothic fans out there. But even with all the improvements and innovations, we continue to build upon the unique concept of the Gothic titles".

The second game in the series was on top of the Top Ten best selling PC games for several weeks. It won several game awards including "Best RPG 2002" and "Best of E3 Show". It was also one of the biggest selling games in the German territories ever.

Faster Searches
Better auto-configuration when you first install gdSuite (it actually works now!)
A large number of other enhancements, speed-ups, bug fixes, and tweaks. For example, gdSuite now detects if Google Desktop is running, and if it isn't, gdSuite offers to start it for you.

Gothic 2 was hard

Fun as hell, but not open ended enough for me. I sure hope they stick to their gun on number 3.

Yeah, I rather enjoyed Gothic II myself. Not much into RPG's but it was pretty fun overall. I hope the 3rd one is just as good when it comes to accessibility.

Gothic 2 has been the only RPG game I ever took the time to actually play all the way through.
I can't wait!

I thought Gothic II sucked, really crappy controls, horrible gameplay, horrible graphics. My 2 cents :/

Not only was this game great, but it also only loaded levels three times in the entire game. Three giant sections...it felt like playing a single player version of World of Warcraft, except with a well-defined plot.

i loved Gothic 1&2 and so did my cusin, he'll be really happy as soon as i tell him about this!
