- i would suspect this is where the FULL power of the 360 will be showcased. not that E3 junk.

- I sure hope the E3 presentations were _very_ far from XBox 360's full power. I consider buying one (and a PS3, that one's certain) even if I'm a 100% Linux user and not exactly a friend of Microsoft. But if you compare, for example, the XBox 360 E3 trailer or the Saint's Row trailer with the PS3 Killzone 2 trailer (also Alpha software rendered on pre-release hardware), Microsoft should really have some aces up there sleeves, or else the 360 will look quite ancient as soon as the PS3 gets released.
Whatever, I'm sure the XBox 360 will at least make a nice Linux/ PPC64 SMP machine... ;-)

European trade and media will get a chance to try out the Xbox 360 console ahead of its launch here this holiday season, with Microsoft today confirming that it is planning to showcase the next-generation system at an X05 event in October.
X05 - the fourth event in the series which started with X01 in Cannes but skipped 2004 - will take place at an undisclosed location in Europe on October 4th and 5th, and the company is promising to reveal detailed plans for the Xbox 360 launch at the event.
