Ubi Soft has released a new retail patch for Far Cry, updating the tropical island first-person shooter by CryTek Studios to version 1.33. This release resolves some online cheating issues, fixes a problem with extended characters in players names, and includes version checking so that v1.33 clients can only connect to the corresponding servers.

- This patch will update versions 1.31 and 1.32 to Far Cry 1.33.
