As promised yesterday, 2K Games has released a Multiplayer demo of Pterodon's upcoming sequel Vietcong 2. Included in the demo are 2 maps, "Depot" and "Trail" and both maps can be played on 64 player servers. Game modes included are Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. The full class based system is also included in the demo, which allows a player to "level" up as they play and unlock new classes. The demo is 445 mb.

I seriously did not even know this game was coming out, literally I have not heard one bit of information at all. Based on this fact alone I might have to give this a shot.

If Anyone tries this out, report back with what you think.

Same here. I'm willing to try it but I'd like to hear some people's opinions before I bother downloading 445 megs...not that it's all that hard, but I am really lazy.

It's very good. If you enjoyed the first game, you'll like this one I think. Graphically it's not much better than the first game, but the water effects and physics are pretty good. The guns feel terrific, the gun sights are even better now. Maps are awesome, very cramped but yet still open feeling, and it FEELS like you are in Vietnam, if that's possible

I recommend it.

I wasn't too keen on the first after I bought it for my dad and decided to give it a spin. Other games such as CoD seem to fair better, with more realistic maps, weapons and audio effects.

I will however give this one a try because I'm not that close-minded. Hoping it will be a huge improvement over the original

People should get Joint Operations instead. It's easily the best online FPS. 150 players massive maps reasonably good graphics. But no one seems to have got it. It's cheap now as well.

Novalogic lost the plot after Land Warrior (DF3). Task Force Dagger was satisfactory, but BHD and JO is just disappointing. I won't even mention DF: Extreme. Sniping with an M249 SAW from a mile away without aiming down the sight? Pur-lease.

Call Of Duty knocks all of these out of the water, and I really can't wait for CoD 2 to come out.

I agree, Delta Force 1&2 were great and then they just got worst.

Yeah. I kinda miss those maps from DF1 Nothing better than hiding out in darkness using your night vision with a Barrett rifle picking people off in a deathmatch. Old wood cabins and rope bridges ... ah the good old days.

I did actually decide to reinstall the game about 6 months back, but the graphics were really bad lol - I guess it's because I'm so used to smoother terrain etc...

I played the demo of the first. I liked it except in multiplayer people would always stack the teams and I never had fun being US because it was 13 vs. 5 lol. Still liked the maps, and stuff.
