Reports in the US are telling us that Xbox 360 games are already shipped to stores, despite the fact that the console will not release until November 22nd. Both GameStop and EB Games are listing Kameo: Elements of Power as available to ship within 24 hours, and various gamers report receiving it. Meanwhile, Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3 are expected to go on sale more than a week in advance of the console's US launch.

So far there's been no sign of the same happening on this side of the Atlantic, however, where Xbox 360 is set to launch on December 2nd, although most shops are full of placeholder boxes and other point-of-sale promotions. Retailers are expecting actual stock closer to release.

Games going on sale this far in advance of their home platforms is unusual, but it's not the first time games have made it out before consoles - some PSP games, for example, were widely available in the few days prior to the console's launch in the US and similarly in the UK.

You're the same guy on RFD right? Good thing all that work entering PINs didn't go to waste! I only had to enter 900 pins .

Why is that good? You cant use it till you get a console, and your money is now generating interest in THEIR bank account instead of your own.... doh!

You don't necessarily have to pay to preorder, and you don't necessarily have to pay to get an Xbox 360. Ever heard of www.bethefirsttoplay.com or the american counterpart www.everytenminutes.com ?

Well, there's not much of a reason not to.

And it could help with shipping out the actual systems. And with lines at some retailers.

Doesn't seem to be too much hype about the system where I live.

Thanks, ms for making us, Australians, wait! It's not fair that USA get the things first. Why can't you freaking do a world wide launch like you did for the first xbox.

calm down man. Did you ever think that they might not have enough units for a world wide launch. You will get your new Xbox when it comes out. Its just a console the world still turns 360.

You dont see us crying because The Crocodile Hunter comes out first over there, crikie mate.

Yeah it sucks that us Aussies have to wait...but a world wide launch is not possible the cost alone would be astronomical! not to mention the volumes of consoles (and games) that would be needed to be produced to supply a launch of that size...Xbox 1 did not launch world wide, it was much like it is now with Xbox 360 except Europe and Japan also had to wait (and we waited longer )..and what is wrong with US getting it first? it's thier console! it was made by an American company so of cause they will release it in thier home teritory first, just like Sony and Nintendo launch thier systems in Japan first etc that's my two cents

you only got 2 cents?

let the hacking begin !!!

hopefully hackers can remove the HDCP protection so people without hdcp tv's can play it in full resolution and not a scaled down resolution.
