For those who watch graphics manufacturers closely, you may have noticed NVIDIA changed its corporate logo over the weekend. A quick search in the US Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS) shows that this new logo design is not officially processed yet.

The logo now appears to show the corporate trademark in all capital letters -- at least more so than it did before. The previous logo appeared to show the trademark written as "nVIDIA," but the company had changed the official trademark to all capital letters (NVIDIA) several years ago.

The image below shows both the old (bottom) and the new (top) design.

I don't know about you, but that still looks like a lower case N.

Yes, seems as if all they did was make them all block letters with a newish gradient. Looks more moden I think still though.

Sometimes you don't need to make massive changes to improve something =)

I like that they retained the eye, definately a good 'icon', that.

That's TWICE you have misspelt modern......

Anyway, the new logo looks crap. I was expecting something a little more significant - not just a font change.

I wouldn't even have noticed unless told.

As Martyn said above, they did not change the n to a capital letter. All they did was make it the same size as the VIDIA part and changed the font.
