Activision announced that Tony Hawk's Project 8 should be featuring a demo release sometime in the next few days, on Xbox Live Marketplace. The official website has a link to the Live Marketplace's webpage suggesting that they are preparing the demo.
Tony Hawk's Project 8 challenges players to experience the intensity and pressure of skating against some of the world's top pros in true to life competitions as they aim to become the #1 skater. It's scheduled for release on November 7, 2006.
