EA announced today that is has more than 30 games in development for Sony's Playstation 3. Of course for the launch of the system, we already know that Madden 2007, Tiger Woods 2007, and Need for Speed Carbon will launch with the Playstation 3 (NBA Live 2007 is "supposed" to be a launch title) but EA dropped a big one today by saying they have over 30 games in development for the system, and that between 8 and 10 are for release between the PS3 launch and March 2007.

The games currently listed for the Playstation 3 - not always with an actual release date, as as follows:
  • Army of Two - 2007
  • Battlefield Bad Company - 2007
  • Burnout 5 - Q1 2007
  • Def Jam: Icon - March 2007
  • Fight Night Round 3 - December 12th 2006
  • Madden NFL 2007 - November 17th 2006
  • Medal of Honor Airborne - Q1 2007
  • NBA Street Homecourt - TBA
  • Need for Speed Carbon - November 17th 2006
  • SKATE - 2007
  • Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 - November 17th 2006
Once I get more titles listed, or release dates, you can be sure I'll post them up for you guys to gawk at and drool over!

How many of them are console exclusives though?

I doubt any of them, EA usually makes games for every console not just one usually. It likes to get around

I hate to go for a simplistic critique but thats all one can do on this subject, the games in that list are more likely going to be boring drivel.

Gee, that's a lot of titles all fighting to come out of EA's ass all at once.
I predict explosive diarrhea.

So out of those 11 games listed, only 2 are actually something new. Good going, EA. We've all seen it all before, but they're still going to sell. I just don't get why they don't seem to want to try for new stuff more often and instead just keep rehashing the same old crap all the time.

Sadly, I think EA is all about quantity but not quality of games.

Same old unoriginal crap. You would think with all the talented game devs and studios EA keep assimilating they could come up with something more original than this rehashed swampware.
