Sony have updated their playb3yond website with some very interesting videos, it seems like the Sony marketing machine is starting to go into full swing. On the site are two well constructed videos that look at the capacity and the “smartness” of the PS3.

With only a few weeks till the PS3 is released in Japan and the US expect Sony to bring out all the cards to make sure every last person on the planet has heard about the PS3, and with beautifully thought videos like this, I don’t mind if they keep telling me all the way till the European launch.

Thank's to Flux Capacitor for bringing this to our attention

If you buy a console, then yes; The console is smarter than you.

For some reason the "you are dumber than a console" marketing plan seems kind of dumb to me lol. Who likes to be told they are stupid?

Why did Play B3yond ask me for my age?

Anyway, I was down with the "Smarter" advert until it asked me if I was smarter then it. And my answer is yes, yes I am.

"A normal PC can only handle one task at a time"?
I don't know where he gets his info from but it seems a little outdated.

yeah its very outdated and sony needs to shut up... a standard single core pc can still do more then 1 thing at once... dedicated processors inside the system all break up tasks... host controler interfaces, sound processors, GPU's, RAID controllers all which can do simultanious tasks to me thats well more then 1 thing at once... now with dual core and more cores coming thats really an outdated statement

I like to think my console is smarter than me. That way, everytime a new console comes up, it makes want to be that much smarter.
I started outsmarting consoles the first time I played pong. It took me a while but I did it. I outsmarted it. Then came Atari, which with and 8mhz processor was easy enough... coleco vision came down next and the same thing happened with all of Segas consoles (except for the Saturn, which was outsmarted but a far inferior ps1 and n64, so no need for me to shame it...).
Right know I'm working on outsmarting my 360... PS3 is next.

I'm skipping the Wii altogether, since it took me a couple of days to outsmart the gamecube, and since the wii is about as double as powerful... I dont think it's worth the effort.

"You are clearly out matched America! Our superior engineering insight and discipline far exceeds your pathetic attempts. Even our hardware is smarter then you are. Ha ha ha ha ha. No, but seriously. Buy our hardware! Maybe it's smartness will rub off on you! Who knows? Maybe you someday will design hardware with a slightly hire intellect then a dog? But I doubt it. Ha ha ha."
