LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment today announced that Star Wars Galaxies: The Complete Online Adventures, the most comprehensive Star Wars Galaxies experience ever released, has shipped to stores in North America and is available for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

The Complete Online Adventures includes the base game, Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided(TM), along with all three of the game's expansions: Jump to Lightspeed(TM), Rage of the Wookiees(TM), and Trials of Obi-Wan(TM). In addition, the compilation features a special bonus DVD packed with premium content including:
  • A slide show of Star Wars Galaxies screenshots and never-before-seen concept art, all set to beautifully orchestrated in-game music;
  • Interviews with Star Wars Galaxies production staff, detailing the incredible art, characters and inside stories of the making of the game;
  • Excerpts from the popular "From Pencil to Pixel" book that chronicles the art of Star Wars Galaxies;
  • In-game movie featurettes produced by Star Wars Galaxies fans;
  • Cinematic trailers and commercial television ads produced for Star Wars Galaxies;
  • A demo of the popular PC strategy game Star Wars: Empire at War(TM).
Also, all players who install The Complete Online Adventures will receive an exclusive in-game item -- a personal AT-RT vehicle (one per account) as seen in the Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith(TM) movie.

In addition, Star Wars Galaxies subscribers will automatically receive a series of game updates that are scheduled to be released by LucasArts and Sony Online Entertainment throughout the remainder of 2006 and into 2007, filled with new gameplay enhancements.

Those are some of the most pitiful features I've ever seen. Screenshots, ads, and a demo. Sony had to dig really deep to come up with this "premium content."

It's really sad to see the fate of the Star Wars MMORPG.

It had so much potential, and then of course Sony of all companies had way too much power over it...

Hmmmm, sorry but that list of extra features on the "Bonus DVD" is the funniest thing I have ever seen. What a joke!

Screenshots and videos of other people playing! Woooooot!!!! I will get my mates round and dim the lights for that! LOL

Hey, they're generous enough to give you an excerpt of the SWG art book!
Their economy department must really have been sweating over that one...

I played this game years ago for about 2 hours. What a load of w**k it was!
