"The Command & Conquer series finally makes its return to the console after seven years," said Mike Verdu, Executive Producer at EALA. "C&C 3 will help expand the RTS genre on the Xbox 360, building off of the foundation laid by the development of The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle-earth II. EA is evolving the console controls so that strategy gaming plays and feels native to the platform."
"C&C 3 is a perfect fit for the Xbox 360," said Mike Glosecki, Senior Producer at EALA. "Xbox 360 players will enjoy the action-packed online play and watching the epic Sci-Fi story of the game unfold as they play through the single player campaign."

Good.
Its called Supreme Commander
My GF calls me that
on occasions that is :p
I prefer sitting on the sofa with my 360 and a nice sized TV than cowering over a keyboard in my office and playing infront of a 19" monitor.
But with that being said, go with a 360. Gears of War, Huxley (also on PC) tons of FPS's and decent ones at that, plus Live! is supposedly pretty neat. I don't have a 360 yet, but trust me I will get one eventually. But I'll also get a PS3, and a Wii, so ehhhh don't listen to me.
The previous C&C games that were ported to consoles had no effect on their PC counterparts.
The previous C&C games that were ported to consoles had no effect on their PC counterparts.
Because they were made to PC by Westwood and then ported to consoles, now they are made by EA and are ported to the PC perhaps if you remember... the console ports of previous games were rubbish
That is, once the price comes down a bit.
I'm guessing PC release first, then a 360 release.
And who knows, with Microsoft's new plan we might be seeing PC Vs 360 action! That would be awesome, playing C&C across platforms.
and since the console version will use a completeley different control scheme, the game may be different as well.
I'm glad this game is coming out for the 360! My PC is getting old and I see no reason to upgrade it when my 360 can play games with 10x better graphics. I used to be a pretty serious PC gamer but now I prefer console gaming.
Seeing as XNA allows games to be developed side by side on the PC and Xbox 360, I'd imagine that is how EA will do it.
Yea whatever. Whats next? Photoshop for the 360? Some things should remain PC only.
Spot on. I know console gaming is where all the money lies, but how can anybody say that a console is a perfect fit for an RTS!? That's just crazy. I'm angry and if this new C&C game isn't going to be made with the top-end graphics capabilities that the modern home PC can run, I will go ape-s**t.
Always always always develope it for the PC, then convert to console. NEVER the other way round.
1st person shooters
RTSes
Besides, this C&C franchise is not even close to cutting edge anymore as it used to be. There are other RTSes doing much more interesting things instead of rehashing the same ancient gameplay.
