Sweet, Im sending this from my Wii too. Seems ok so far, if a little basic. There is no tabbed browseing. You have to go back to the start page to enter a web address, or choose a favorite. The auto compleat feature is very handy for people like me (carnt speel) but I think thats built into the Wii OS not just the browser. As I'm writing this I can feel my self getting faster and faster at using the wiimote but a keyboard would still be a lot better. Also, I'm using a 40" lcd and the text is pretty small and blury. You can use + and - to zoom in and out (there is only 1 level of zoom) but this is not very practical, in fact, it's a ****ing nightmare! I'm hoping that the component lead that I'm waiting for to arive will fix this to a degree.

light woke me too :p

I'm not too keen on it, as I am not aware of tabs or anything for it, maybe good for email and bash.org. can't seem to dload files to my 2gb sdcard too, that would have been handy.

Just realised that you can use button 1 to bring up your faves and button 2 to change the screen layout / formatting which is much more readable, but could still be a lot better.

Also, while trying to add this comment to my original post, the Wii crashed twice! It seems that it can only handle so much text before it go's tits up!

I had to hold down the power button on the front of the machine for 5-10 seconds to get it back to life :/

Edit: There dosn't seem to be any way to copy and paste text or save images but it's only a trial version so maybe this will be added at a later date.

Yea the documentation for the browser clearly states some features were removed for the trial and that they will be there for thefull version.

Take this for what it really is. A trial or shareware of the program.

Hope for all you people waiting for component cables for your hdtvs. I am using the component cables on my hdtv and there is no blurry text

It's still slightly blurry on my CRT HDTV. But not too bad. An extra smaller zoom level would be helpful.

the only real way to see the text is to press the 2 button and read it that way. otherwise it's just too blurry. it does look like flash works but im not sure if the dpad is gonna work like the arrow keys. also only one person can control it according to the documentation so it doesnt look like multiplayer flash games are gonna happen.

When i first downloaded it i could play You Tube videos, now however it doesn't play any of them and just keeps telling me it's out of date.

I downloaded it earlier, and I was surprised at how fast it loaded up pages. Shame it's not good as flash games. Is Opera just as fast loading up pages on the PC as it is on the Wii?

Sure! You should try it for yourself.

Its still the quickest browser around, even if Firefox & friends are closing in.

Wow, it IS faster! I'm convinced! I had 2 good tests for it. Neowin, and my MSN Space. They load up much faster on Opera than they do on IE. Just a slight problem on my MSN Space in Opera. I have WMP embedded in my MSN Space, but it didn't load up in Opera. Do I have to download a plug-in to get it to work in Opera?

Been trying this out on my friends Wii (saving up to get my own! and I was very impressed with it. Annoying that I guess eventually its going to be a paid download but its very impressive and even on a fairly old 28" TV it was perfectly usable. I should imagine on a nice big LCD TV its really good!

Nice one Nintendo & Opera!
