So, what game do you think was the #1 best seller for the lead up week to the big Christmas holiday? Well for PC games you should know right off the bat which games will round out the top 10, as they hardly change from week to week normally! So without further delay:
  1. The Sims 2 Pets Expansion Pack - Electronic Arts
  2. World of Warcraft - Vivendi
  3. Deal or No Deal - Global Star Software (Take 2)
  4. The Sims 2 - Electronic Arts
  5. Medieval II: Total War - Sega of America
  6. Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe - Microsoft
  7. Battlefield 2142 - Electronic Arts
  8. Cars Radiator Springs Adventure - THQ
  9. The Sims 2 Open for Business Expansion Pack - Electronic Arts
  10. The Sims 2 Glamour Life Expansion Pack - Electronic Arts
So there you have it, the list of the top 10 best selling PC games for the lead in week to Christmas. Other than Deal or no Deal in there, and Medieval II cracking the top 5, not much new in there.

PC gaming charts are rather dull really - it shows how stagant the PC gaming market really is. I mean WoW and the Sims 2 have been in the top for pretty much a year now, if not more at least in the case of sims 2

it also shows just how big the budget gaming is in the PC world with board games and similar titles frequently being in the top 10. Kind of dull seeing half the top10 being taken up by sim's expansions too.

Well i'm hoping to see a better chart when the 2007 games come out. I have no doubt that WoW:Burning Crusade will hold #1 on the chart for a while as WoW has before. I really cant wait to get to play it
#3 well... on 05 Jan 2007 - 18:18
Man i really hate EA i mean holding 4 out of the top 10 spots should mean they have good support and bug free games right....

Wow it seems all the quality releases doesn't sell at all. No wonder big corporations like Ubi only focus on making crap that kids buy, lifespan or quality isn't priority anymore.
