Another week, another top 10 list I always say. As usual the NPD group has released the top 10 best selling PC games for the week of December 24th through the 30th. So obviously this includes the big Christmas holiday explosion. Enjoy the top 10 list guys!
  1. World of Warcraft - Vivendi
  2. The Sims 2 - Electronic Arts
  3. The Sims 2 Pets Expansion Pack - Electronic Arts
  4. The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff Expansion Pack - Electronic Arts
  5. Battlefield 2142 - Electronic Arts
  6. Medieval II: Total War - Sega of America
  7. MS Flight Simulator X Deluxe - Microsoft
  8. MS Age of Empires III - Microsoft
  9. Company of Heroes - THQ
  10. Deal or No Deal - Global Star Software (Take 2 Games)
So, World of Warcraft once again takes over the lead. Which also leads into my next news story as well. The $20 price point, the almost ready to launch expansion The Burning Crusade and well, Blizzard executives must be pretty happy at this point. What with the game pulling in $1 Billion a month in revenue supposedly, not to mention being in the top 3 or 4 games every week since release.

Does the WoW number include only full games or also game cards?

I'm pretty sure they don't include time cards. That's fully subscribed people.

It's funny how the good games are never at the top. It's always the Sims expansions or some kids movie game.

Well, this depends. To a lot of people, The Sims games (and those "kids/movie" games) are enjoyable and long-lasting, unlike some others (i.e. Battlefield 2142, AoE3, etc.) which have repetative replay value.

$1billion a month? That'd require like 66Million subscribers, I don't think it makes THAT much money.
