During E3 2006, Microsoft announced the goal of hitting six million Xbox Live registered members by June 2007 and four months ahead of schedule, it has happened. Since its launch in November 2002, gamers have spent over 2.3 billion hours on the network playing games with each other; the top title is undoubtedly Halo 2 on which gamers have spent over 710 million hours playing online, with over a half a billion games played. More than 2 million messages are sent across Xbox Live servers every day. The Xbox Live Marketplace, Microsoft's virtual market that allows Xbox 360 owners to download content, now has over 70% of Xbox Live members downloading from the service, over 135 million downloads since the launch of the Xbox 360 in November 2005. More than 70% of all connected Xbox game consoles have also downloaded game titles through Xbox Live Arcade, with more than 25 million reported downloads. Microsoft is continuously updating the service with both features and new content.

ive had live since PGR2 came out and tbh its a first class gaming service. Its just a shame the audio with the headsets are pretty rank. Its a wierd one as using Teamspeak2 or Ventrillo on pc is sooo much clearer than the voice feature in XBL.

why Live cant be anywhere near the same quality escapes me

besides back on topic well done MS

Just shows you that when you "shoot" for something you do not brag about it, just shut up and hope to get it done. Unlike the competition, which promises and promises, but no where near the promised comes out.

Well done Microsoft, and I hope they lead generation of consoles because Sony is really cocky nowadays.

Also, Nintendo should be at the top!

<3 My Xbox 360 =D
