Microsoft is wrong! They tried to be helpful though, a few guys from microsoft asked me for my live account password while I was playing Halo and I gave it to them. There must be a problem with the servers because now my account doesnt work. Oh well im sure microsofthelp will fix it for me!
Alright, so I suck at being funny, so sue me. -

eh? Microsoft's policy is NEVER ask for passwords, just reset them to a new one.. if someone asked you for your password no wonder it doesnt work now, they violated the policy

- Most likely the people who claimed there account was breached have malware on their PCs.
The malware must have exposed the Live account of these unsuspecting users when they logged-on to their accounts on their PC.
It Xbox service indeed had a vulnerability they would have hacked more than the claimed 10 accounts per day.

- if people are stupid enough to give their information without making sure who they were giving it to was infact that party. In alot of ways are the ones who are at fault. It's kind of like buyer beware. Xbox live is probably damn near perfect and i would imagine the only way to get into someone else's accoutn would be to guess their PW, and whatnot.

The statement comes a day after Microsoft said it would investigate possible fraud on its Xbox Live and Bungie.net online gaming properties. Gamers had reported that their Xbox Live accounts were hijacked and their credit cards used to buy "Microsoft Points," the virtual currency on Xbox Live. According to Microsoft, no credit card or other personal information was exposed. Microsoft also noted the usual 'don’t give out your or someone else’s personal information' as it can be used for illegal or harmful purposes.
