Sony may have officially changed its mind about a PSP 2, but the company seems to have decided a price drop is in order. According to GameStop and EB Games promotional materials sent to Joystiq, the PSP Core System will be available at a discounted $30 price tag from $199.99 to $169.99, effective Tuesday, April 3. Sony hopes to give the PSP handheld a boost in its losing battle to the Nintendo DS in the portable gaming market with the price drop, free Wi-Fi available at public locations and with PS3 connectivity.

what the hell does this even mean?? the first poster said he liked the PSP graphics better, and a PSP to DS graphic comparison is more like PS2 to N64 than PS1 to SNES.
the psp and the ds arent even real competitors...
the psp and the ds arent even real competitors...
they are both handhelds so my comment is valid...PSP is a handheld game device, gameboy and DS are also handheld game devices.. and im sure I read "Sony hopes to give the PSP handheld a boost in its losing battle to the Nintendo DS" which sounds like PSP wants to compete with the DS

Both are handheld consoles, but that's where similarities stop. Games are completely different.
If you really like both consoles, chances are you'll eventually get both of them, same as with the wii+xbox or wii+ps3 combination.
