BioWare has formed a new online team to create a Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic massively multiplayer online game, EGM reports.

No further details were reported in the rumour section of the US magazine but we've taped our fingers crossed. KOTOR is one of our favourite Star Wars games ever and the thoughts of an online MMO is, frankly, too much to take in.

The magazine also reports on a few other BioWare-related rumours. The current PC-exclusive Dragon Age is coming to PS3 and the DS currently in development at the mega-studio looks to be from the Baldur's Gate franchise. They're all rumours at the moment but we'll keep you updated with any announcements.

i'm sorry how will this be different than SWG other than the time setting. I mean i'm sure bioware could make a better game than Sony online, but still, it can only improve so much on a star wars mmo to feel fresh, without it being a WOW clone with star wars textures.

Keep it single player!!!

These are possibly my two favorite games ever and I want to keep it single player...Make both or single but not MMO

It'll most likey be developed by Bioware, but run by SOE and ruined by SOE,

OR a SWG expansion pack,

all of which will be doomed before release.

they should stick to the single player RPG, kotor was well renound for its story, a story that still has a bit to go too...

there'll just be a billion people called 'jedi34556' etc

I didn't get this sentence... is it saying that the DS(As in Nintendo DS) i getting a game in the baldur's gate franchise or something else?

Might be because english is my 2nd language, but that sentence is confusing for some reason, like a work is missing... like: "...and the DS-game in development..."

The DS game they are developing is from the Baulder's Gate franchise.

seriously i beat both kotors and when I played the first one I said it would make a great mmo. Seriously I'm not counting this one out yet. It kinda feels like an mmo in the first place lol. They better make an awesome pvp.
