Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. has announced plans for the second expansion to World of Warcraft®, its award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG). Unveiled at the company's BlizzCon™ gaming festival before an audience of more than 8,000 gamers, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King™ will open the forbidding wasteland of Northrend to exploration by the hardiest adventurers. New levels of power, challenging new dungeons and encounters, an exciting new character profession, and the game's first hero class are just some of the new features awaiting players in Wrath of the Lich King.

"This expansion will add some of the most infamous characters and settings from the Warcraft® universe to World of Warcraft," said Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment®. "In addition to new story content, Wrath of the Lich King will introduce a number of features specifically requested by players over the past couple of years. We're looking forward to sharing further details with everyone as development progresses."

And just when everyone thought these players would stop playing this addictive game 24/7 and get a real life.... LOL! More drugs, please.

Boring. Bring on the OTHER Blizzard games. Hey wait a moment. Oh well, Here's to 2009 being more interesting.

I would say something about them milking World of Warcraft for all it's worth, but with the millions of addicts still playing it I can't really blame them. Personally I think it's getting really old, and still $15 a month? Come on. Bring on Diablo III already!

Wow, Its like beating a dead cow over and over again. And still milking from the dead cow..... Get something new please .. Like the above said...... Diablo 3 (without monthyl subscription )

Right, because everyone who doesn't share your opinion is a troll.

Man.. this game is something I advise everyone to stay away from. I've become addicted in this stuff. Hell, I haven't even touched my favorite FPS in 3 months!

For those that are already addicted though, this is awesome. Can't wait for patch 2.3 though. Guild banks/voice chat ftw!

I hear that. I've beaten HL2 so many times and it's the only decent FPS that will run on my ancient laptop....damn you Valve, this is all your fault for being a year late on Episode Two.

Heck... my right arm is over w/ all the mouse clicking from WOW and Burning Crusade, please inject this one on the left one

Drugs for the masses are what make the world spin, and while the imagination starts lacking over the entertainment deppartment, the quantity prevail over quality.... hell, w/ 340912348209438029348 Final Fantasys out there I guess this is a dead subject already ain't it?!

I liked the time when Blizzard had any hopes of creativity, creating amuzing games and astonishing expanssions, instead of inssisting on the same dumb title over and over and over and over again... don't take me wrong, WOW is probably one of the best games I have ever played, but if even suggar get bitter after you eat too much, WOW's life had already crossed the line betwen good and "WAY too much". The only thing that will keep this thing forever is the hordes of mindless zombies that sit on their computer day after day to play the same old thing repeatedly looking for "upgrades"... I have been there for 5 months but decided it was enough, the only repetition I like on my life is naked on the bed in good company, and even there diversification is mandatory.

Why is it that people think that everyone who plays WoW is a mindless zombie who has no life. I love the game. I get up, make breakfast do some cleaning and goto work, Come home walk my dog do some chores play for a few hours and goto bed. Weekends I go drinking and ride the bike and fix my truck and I still lvl faster then all of you.

I still think thats better then not playing and sitting on the couch eating twinkies and masturbating like all you WoW haters. Get a clue
