At Microsoft’s pre-Tokyo Game Show conference last week the company announced that publisher Square Enix will help bring an exclusive RPG to the Xbox 360: Infinite Undiscovery, a new game developed by tri-Ace – makers of Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile series. Infinite Undiscovery is billed by Square Enix producer Hajime Kojima as an action-oriented, “dynamic, compelling next-generation RPG” with a focus on real-time events. Despite Microsoft’s best efforts, the 360 doesn’t stand a chance to match Nintendo and Sony levels of Japanese user-base but Microsoft still has a reason to lay the groundwork for its next console, as it succesfully did going from the Xbox to the Xbox 360.

Though, I don't see the big whoop with Squeenix though. The FF series aside, they've flopped a few times before. (Unlimited Saga for one)
I'll stay more sceptic about any MS backed RPG from now on.
Just preordered eternal sonata after playing the demo ^^
I like the xbox360 design but I go where the games are, and since I love Japanese rpg's, rpg's, rpg/adventure. The system that has the most is what will draw me, no matter what system it is.
I'm not in to FPS, and sports based games, and actions games are ok for me.
That just doesn't sound very enticing. One could replace "RPG" with most any word, like "skirt", or "camera" and sell something else. Now if they had said fun and exciting, then maybe I'd be interested...

I want a "dynamic, compelling next-generation" skirt! That'd be awesome!
