Nintendo’s DS has set a new UK hardware sales record by shifting 191,000 units last week. The sales figures, which come from data monitor ChartTrack, were confirmed by Nintendo Tuesday. “We’re obviously delighted to be able to announce this,” a Nintendo spokesperson told MCV. "Momentum has been increasing on DS sales and to achieve the highest weekly sales figure ever in the history of the games market is fantastic.”
Sony’s PSP previously held the record, having shifted 185,000 units in one week following its launch in September 2005.
