Updates to Counter-Strike and Condition Zero have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Counter-Strike and Condition Zero
  • Fixed add current server button layout in the serverbrowser
  • Don't allow the '&' character in usernames
  • Prevented empty chat spam
  • Fix for upscaling decals in software renderer
  • Duplicated the in-game advertisements from Counter-Strike in Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
Please note that this update is only available via Steam.

lol i get the feeling the fixes are there just to disguise that adverts have been added to conditon zero.

I wouldn't say there was much need in this article. Steam update quite a lot as far as I'm aware, and this doesn't look like a major update.

Hooray, more advertisements! Just what I purchased the game for! It's not enough that they are plastered in DVDs, TV, magazines, outside, radio, Internet... But now we get the luxury of seeing them in our games!

Do people still play the original CS? I figured every had moved onto Source by now.

I love the fact that Valve still support CSS. I still love the game and it's perfect for people with sensible rigs (I say sensible as people can still use single core processors for their general office applications, with ease).
