Ubisoft has finally announced the Minimum System Requirements to play Assassin's Creed PC. Like previous posted in the rumor article "Rumor: Assassin’s Creed PC System Requirements", you need at least 2GB of memory, plus a Nvidia GeForce 6600 or a ATi Radeon x1300 video card to play the game.

In order to play this game properly, your PC MUST meet or exceed these minimum requirements:
- Supported OS: Windows XP / Vista (only)
- Processor: Dual core processor 2.6 GHz Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ or better recommended)
- RAM: 2 GB (3 GB recommended)
- Video Card: 256 MB DirectX 10.0–compliant video card or DirectX 9.0–compliant card with Shader Model 3.0 or higher (512 MB video card recommended) (see supported list)*
- Sound Card: DirectX 9.0 or 10.0 compliant sound card (5.1 sound card recommended)
- DirectX Version: DirectX 10.0 libraries (included on disc)
- DVD-ROM: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive
- Hard Drive Space: 12 GB
- Peripherals Supported: Keyboard, mouse, optional controller (Xbox 360 Controller for Windows recommended)
ATI RADEON X1300-1950 / HD 2000 / 3000 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6600-6800 / 7 / 8 / 9 series
Laptop versions of these cards may work but are NOT supported. These chipsets are the only ones that will run this game.
NOTICE: This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that may conflict with some disc and virtual drives.

And yeah thi game most likely does require a dual core to even be Assasins creed. one core will most likely haveto be dedicated to the AI. This game use the AI for a lot of things, like crowd control and reactions.
without a dual core the crowd control and physics that make Assassin's Creed, it wound't be Assassin's Creed.
I guess it's now a standard nowaday, almost not worth mentionning.
Also, no wonder why people are switching to console with reqs like that.
Although this is to be expected these days
Also:
Correct me if I'm wrong but DirectX 10.0 and Windows XP?
I hate it...
I'm using those to testdrive some linux-versions & other stuff, but according to 'them' you are a pirate.
I can't remember how many games I bought where I needed to find a crack to play them.
It's just not fair.
besides the only reason you're saying Crysis looks bettter is because the tropical island settings loks more pleasing than the Desert setting.

Ha, are you joking? Crysis renders things like hell, which is basically the main resaon for it's slowdowns (the other being the engine horribly tweaked). If it didn't render the way it did it would just just as smooth as say CoD4 or BioShock, which it absolutely does not.
The 360 dashbaord, XMB (in-game this year), and of course the shiny white Wii Menu all say "What are we? Chopped liver?"

lol true, for the PS3 and 360 anyway. The Wii... you won't be using that was a computer, trust me.
Also, to those people who said before "but it's just a rummmouuurrr!", in your face!
Yeah that's what I thought.. I got to play it on a friends PS3, and all I can sy is that it was great and fun and spanky for about an hour.. then it was just **** boring... didn't get anywhere near to wanting to finish, and neither did my mate.

you think that's bad, you should have finished it. The ending felt incomplete and was fairly confusing.
This basically forces me to have a gaming computer and a separate "everything else" computer. Either by physically having a second one or dual booting.
Guilty until proven... guilty.
Yeah, because its only natural to buy a new CPU that is not necessarily faster than yours, just to be able to play a mediocre game. Oh wait. It's not.
PC specification is starting to become more and more of a problem for gamers.
Trying to stay up to date anymore is just getting more and more difficult.
By the time you've bought a new piece of hardware, there's a newer piece of hardware out that is better than your old one you just bought.....
I <3 my Xbox360 Elite and always will... My days of playing new games on my PC/Laptop are over.
Damn, I need about mmm 10 thousand dollars to get a computer to play this nicelly... xD
